"INDY IV" mock poster
2007
Acrylic and colored pencil on board
18 " x 24"
Special 2 day drawing exercise, made when the film was first announced.
I was trying to guess how the character would look aged 65. At the time,
giving Indy a beard seemed appropriate...but why does everyone think
that this was intended as a mean spirited joke??? Sure, the guy has grey
hair,
but
I never intended to make Indy look ancient! How could I know Harrison
Ford
would end up looking so fit when he got around to donning the fedora again?
(For the record, here's the photo
I used as reference.)
